Portfolio
I am drawn to places where longevity mysteriously defies significance: forlorn constructs ravaged by nature, time, and the boundaries of ruin. I discover and appropriate these ‘found places’ in my images to expose the brutal beauty of their decay, exploring contrastive themes of transience/permanence, deterioration/renewal, and abandonment/reclamation.
My aim is to reveal – and revere – the wonder of a forgotten past hidden beneath the patina of corrosion. The act of discovery and documentation is an attempt to illustrate artistry in dereliction, hope in obsolescence, intimacy in emptiness.
The images featured here were selected as the strongest representatives from various photographic series, including Last Resort, Rust Belt, Forlorn Faith, Ceased Operations and Neon Boneyard. Please enjoy.- Bathed in Sunlight
